Our base for the four nights is the Highland Hotel in the Victorian resort of Strathpeffer. This was a popular spa resort back in the Victoria Era, owing to the discovery of sulphurous springs in the 18th century. The pump-room in the middle of the village dates from 1819.
Strathpeffer is a charming Victorian spa village situated in the Scottish Highlands with some fantastic things to do, such as a visit to the ancestral home of Clan Mackenzie, Castle Leod or maybe go back to your childhood days with a visit to the Highland Museum of Childhood, located in the restored railway station or just stroll through the Blackmuir Wood & Touchstone Maze a beautiful area of Scots pine trees to Knockfarrel and some beautiful view across the valley or pay a visit to the Strathpeffer pump room and Spa Pavilion.
