Whitby Goth Weekend

Whitby Goth Weekend The official Whitby Goth Weekend (WGW) events are held twice a year. While dates for the October 2026 event are still to be confirmed, the spring 2026 event, also known as The Gothic Gathering.

The main events, including the Bizarre Bazaar alternative market, take place at the Whitby Spa Pavilion. Other activities and events can be found at the Captain Cook Monument on the West Cliff, at St Marys Church and the Abbey on the East Cliff. (Please note most events are free, however some areas are payable events)

Admission to the Bizarre Bazaar Alternative Market is free, but ticketed events, such as live music and the festival, are separate.

Dress Code:

While there isn't a strict dress code, gothic, steampunk, and alternative fashion are encouraged.
