Sunlight in Liverpool Weekend

Come and enjoy a wonderful weekend away to the wonderful city of Liverpool with its Liver Birds, Ferry across the Mersey, Cathedrals and Beatles connections with time to visit the purpose built village of Port Sunlight, built for the Sunlight Soap Workers and designed in a unique stylish design.

Port Sunlight

Port Sunlight is arguably the finest surviving example of early urban planning and has remained largely intact since it was founded by William Hesketh Lever in 1888.

The village is home to more than 900 Grade II listed buildings set in 130 acres of parkland and gardens.   There were more than 30 different architects who designed the buildings, monuments and memorials.   Take a walk around the beautiful village, or for those art lovers in you visit the Lady Lever Art Gallery or just enjoy a visit to one of the largest war memorials and all the the historic buildings, school house and parks and learn all about the lives of the people who worked and lived in Port Sunlight at the Museum during the time when William Lever and his family ran the Sunlight Soap Factory and perhaps purchase a bar or two of the well known soap as a gift.
